The 2008 Trout & Kokanee Fishing Derby Sponsored by the Scottish Rite Children's Language Disorder Center was held at Shaver Lake on June 7, 2008. The first place winner was our own Earl Tanguchi with a Kokanee of 27.4 oz and the third place winner was our own Gerald Feaver with a Kokanee of 21.8 oz. Congratulations to both and hope to see you two at next years derby. Just at Shaver Lake 4 to 5 derbies are held each year and several are held at Wishon and Bass Lake. Next year I will have all the derbies in the area posted on the web site so we can fish and have fun.
